Heather Preston develops her skills in Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy

Heather Preston, our neurological Occupational Therapist, has been expanding her skill base in working with patients who have cognitive problems following brain injury. These may include, for example, problems with attention, visual processing, information processing, memory and executive functions. Heather recently attended the 2-day course “How to do Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy” led by Kit Malia and Anne Brannigan on 6 and 7 July 2012, where she learned more about ‘Gold standard’ practices for undertaking cognitive rehabilitation. Heather looks forward to implementing new ideas into her practice when working with her patients with acquired brain injury. Find out more about the work Heather does on our Occupational Therapy page.
